Orders might not get filled for your smallcase in the following scenarios

  • Liquidity issues in the market for those stocks (very rare for professionally built smallcases)
  • No demat account linked with your trading account (you only have a trading account to buy/sell stocks, but no demat account to hold them - we only place delivery orders via smallcase)
  • Insufficient funds while placing the orders (even though we conduct a funds check when you place any order - prices might have changed resulting in a/some order/s not getting filled)
  • If the stock is already sold on the broker platform, orders might be unfilled (if you have sold a smallcase stock directly via the brokerage interface, we do not receive this information and will continue to show it as part of your holdings)

In this case, you can either Repair or Archive the batch

Repairing the batch helps you place fresh market orders for those stocks/orders that weren't filled so your smallcase can be complete

This will only fix those orders due to above reasons. To summarise:

  • you're trying at a point where there's liquidity for the stock
  • if you have mapped a demat account later
  • you have added funds to your broker account
  • you have bought the same stock in the right quantity from the broker platform

If you're unable to repair the batch after trying multiple times, please refer to this article

Archiving a batch ensures your smallcase is complete, but the orders that were not filled will not be filled - and your smallcase won't contain those stocks/shares

In this case, the smallcase will not be the same as the original version you meant to buy/invest more/rebalance/exit & will differ in composition & returns
