The difference in the method for calculating Average Buy Price (ABP):

  • On your broker platform, the ABP is calculated using FIFO (first in, first out) for tax liability

  • On smallcase, the simple average method is adopted for accuracy purposes

Stocks in smallcases sold directly on the broker platform:

  • When you sell stocks in your smallcases directly on your broker platform, the same doesn't get updated in your smallcases. Hence, causing a mismatch in holdings and returns.

If you have already sold the stocks directly, you can try reconciling your holdings by clicking on the shortfall detected banner on the smallcase platform.
