1. How does smallcase subscription work?

smallcase subscriptions are required by users to view the constituent stocks/ETFs in premium smallcases that are created by SEBI-registered professionals as well as to invest in the same. The subscribed users will also receive periodic rebalance updates based on the creator’s research and all other benefits of smallcase such as portfolio tracking, SIP, and the ability to apply to rebalance updates in a tap, etc.

2. How does the subscription renewal work?

In such a case, if you want to renew the subscription, you can navigate to the ‘Subscriptions’ screen under 'Accounts', and click on the ‘Renew’ option. You will be taken to the subscription plans offered by that creator and you can renew your subscription from there. Renewal will start the next subscription cycle from the end date of the previous subscription cycle.

3. How to reactivate my past subscriptions?

If your subscription has expired previously, you can directly go to profile -> subscriptions -> inactive subscriptions -> reactivate and follow the same steps used for subscription. Also, on the previous subscription expiry date, you would’ve received an email notification that would include a link to renew the subscription. This would renew the subscription to the same plan that you’d opted for originally (i.e. if you were subscribed to a quarterly plan, it would be renewed on a quarterly plan). If you want to change the subscription plan, you would have to go through the subscription flow by tapping on 'Reactivate' next to the respective smallcase on the 'Inactive subscriptions' screen.

4. What are the subscription charges?

The subscription charges vary from smallcase to smallcase and are decided by the creator.

Premium smallcases can be charged in 2 ways; AUM-based or Flat fee-based.

AUM-based smallcases are charged on the average monthly AUM of one’s portfolio.

For eg. Growth - Multi-Factor Tactical is charged at an upfront fee of Rs 401/- and 1.5% of the investment amount which is charged from the subscriber every month on their investment value.

Here, a fee of Rs.401 will be charged upfront during the subscription to get access to the underlying stocks (one-time) and to invest in them. Once invested, the subscription fee will be collected every month on the subscription start date (1.5% of the average monthly AUM divided by 12).

Flat fee-based smallcases, as the name suggests, collect a flat fee at the beginning of the service. For eg. Mi_ST_ATH is charged at Rs. 4,999/- for 3 months of subscription.

Different creator smallcases have different payment schemes.

5. What happens if I want to stop the auto renewal?

You can cancel your subscription from the smallcase app or the smallcase broker platform via the subscription management feature. To cancel your subscription, please open the smallcase app > tap on your account on the top right corner > select Subscriptions > click on the 3-dot menu to view the option to Unsubscribe.

Please note that cancellation does not lead to a refund. It only ensures that you will not be charged a subscription renewal fee in the future. Your subscription access remains active till the end of the current billing period even if you cancel the subscription midway.

6. Will I be able to invest in my smallcase after canceling my subscription?

Yes, there is no restriction on this. However, you would not receive any rebalance updates from the creator’s side.

7. How can I cancel my subscription?

To cancel a subscription to a particular smallcase or Manager, you can simply go to the Accounts section (click on your display picture) and open Subscriptions; then select the one from your active subscription plans that you’d like to cancel.
